Every Kinling is born in a different place, from a different material. One formed inside a volcano and became living magma. One crystallized deep inside a glacier and became ice. One grew from a forest floor so old that light has not touched the ground in centuries.

Kinlings are as old as the Universe which formed them. Each one has seen everything there is to see in its own world. That is why they always look half-asleep - not tired, just unsurprised.

And so they seek each other out, to be empowered by the unique memories of other Kinlings. Together, they grow more powerful as the power of their memories compounds.

Each Kinling carries an amulet around its neck, bound to it from the moment it was born. The amulet holds its memories. When Kinlings come together, their amulets combine the force of their collective memories. With the merging of their independent memories, their collective power becomes far greater than any of them alone.

Every Kinling has a glowing antenna at the top of its head. As they draw closer to one another, the antenna burns brighter - leading them across impossible distances to find each other.

Kinlings are always on a quest to find each other, and combine the force of their memories to bind the Universe and everything within it as one. That is the mission of the Kinlings.
